Student-Led Conferences

Student-Led Conferences

As parents and caregivers of middle school students, we know that each of our children has their own unique strengths, talents, and learning style. Each year, Student-Led Conferences give them a chance to shine!

What We Love

As families, we get to see our young scholars show what they’ve learning in Student-Led Conferences. Building on the principles of the IB Learning profile, J.T. Moore encourages students to reflect on their learning process and take responsibility for sharing their accomplishments. In these conferences, families meet with their student and teacher at the school, and the student takes the lead in presenting a portfolio of work that they have prepared. It’s a great way to celebrate progress, reinforce efforts to improve and boost our students’ confidence in communicating and taking pride in their work.

This school year will be the seventh year that we’ve held Student-Led Conferences. We are excited to see all our amazing J.T. Moore families and students during conferences.
